Explanation: On Thursdayof the Passion Week, after Jesus and the twelve disciples arrived in the uppper room in Jerusalem, Jesus initiated the Passover procedings by inviting his disciples to partake of it. As they partook, he told them he would neither eat nor drink of the Passover again until the Kingdom of God should come. The scene above in Tintoretto's painting depicts the first part of the Passover meal before Judas left to lead the authorities to Jesus. It was after Judas left that Jesus inaugurated the Lord's Supper, perhaps during the third of the four cups of the Passover meal.
