The Psalmist opens and closes his Psalm with the words, "praise the LORD." He speaks to all nations (1). The LORD is to be praised for his merciful kindness and his eternal truth (2). Deliverance from Sinners and from Sin Nearly all the Psalms (except Psalm 90) were written during the 612 year period
from the time of David around 1016 B. C. to the close of the Canon in about 404 B. C.
Psalm 90, according to its superscription, was written by Moses; this may have been around 1406 B. C. BOOK FIVE OF FIVE:

God's merciful kindness and truth is great and enduring. [Some commentators take the Psalm in Habakkuk 3 to be a standard model for the Psalms. Habakkuk's Psalm begins with the name of the composer (Habakkuk) and a musical notation ("upon Shigionoth"). It closes with a dedication or a "send to" notice ("To the chief singer on my stringed instruments"). I have arranged similar material, where it is found in the Psalter, in accord with the model in Habakkuk.]
